forrest through the trees: Tax Equity for... →
forrestthroughthetrees: Before I put up a more policy-oriented post centered around wind’s expiring production tax credit (PTC), here’s my attempt at a quick and dirty breakdown of this Bloomberg white paper — “The Return - and Returns - of Tax Equity for U.S. Renewable Projects” — focused primarily on the historical demand for tax equity and its various structures.

14-billion-years-later: Just a list of cool little mathematical tricks and other cool things I wanted to make. Every number divisible by three (to give whole numbers) has a digit sum that is a multiple of 3. Eg. 186/3=62 (1+8+6=15, 15/3=5 and 1+5=6, 6/3=2) For dividing by four the last…

forrest through the trees: Potential Partnerships... →
forrestthroughthetrees: Greenstart, the San Francisco-based incubator set on helping 500+ commercially viable cleantech start-ups over the next decade, just concluded its inaugural incubation period. As the accelerator works to grow its class size and track towards that ambitious goal, now seems a good time to explore how regional partnerships might affect greater cleantech innovation by...

You're a millennial, aren't u?
dhunt26: I don't think I agree with you. Wyden was rather slimy when it came to the Public Option. From a lot of things I've been reading, he'd tell the press one thing and talk to the GOP in another way that was very pro-insurance corporations. He worked to kill the Public Option. But hey, you know, he just has campaign money to raise. I'm sure the insurance corporations love him.
dhunt26: You're welcome to your ignorance. Would be nice if u didn't inflict it on others though.
lltrix: Really? Where is my post ignorant?
dhunt26: starting around the words 'I think' right up until the end there.
lltrix: Go fuck yourself then.
Doremus Jessup 2.0: lol! That's not a very strong argument. :)
dhunt26: You're a millennial, aren't u?
lltrix: I'm far olde than you think. I just find your comments rude.
dhunt26: and i find yours ignorant. what a match we make, eh?
lltrix: Well, you haven't proven my comments ignorant. But you've proven yourself rude alright.
dhunt26: definitely a millennial.

forrest through the trees: Interlocking Strategies... →
forrestthroughthetrees: These four strategies — unifying stakeholders with an overarching focus economic development; employing financial mechanisms to attract a parade of private investors; innovating for improved performance and reduced costs; enacting consistent energy policy — combine to form a holistic approach… Put a lot of time into this one, if you’re looking for some light...

“I’m not going to kiss his ring and I’m not going to kiss any other part of his...”
– Jon Huntsman on Donald Trump and Trump’s upcoming GOP debate, (Fox News/Politico) I am so thankful that Jon Huntsman and Ron Paul are not lowering themselves to the point of participating in Donald Trump’s debate.  It’s unbelievable to me that the Republican Party — the party of Lincoln and...
